David Alter
After 34 years of school and 9 years of practice as a cardiologist and research scientist, Dr. Alter was left with one dream that he had been dying to pursue since he was a child – to become a musician. Having amassed hundreds and hundreds of songs since the age of 14, he began to more formally pursue his dream a few years ago, in response to the encouragement of his then 11-year old son: “Dad, you’ve gotta pursue your dreams”.
Much to the chagrin of his musician father (his hero) who always suggested he “stay the course” with music only serving as a hobby, he emerged himself into his life as a musician in full-force.
After a few radio releases (“Legend in the world (Jesse James)”, “Take me home”, and “I’m rollin’ in it”), he embarked on an even more ambitious quest – - namely, the creation of Vigour Records (now Vigour Music Projects) – - building on his two core passions: Music and Health. Not only will Vigour serve as a platform for himself, but will hopefully do so for others and in a way that benefits the specific health causes and the greater community at large.
